Day 1: Elburg – Rhederlaag (NL)
13/07/2015 Elburg (NL) Early in the morning (9.00 hrs.) I arrived at the brokers marina of Elburg Yachting. After a short introduction we started with a check-up of the vessel and preparation for the trip to Rheden. To make the owner acquainted with the common tasks during the trip, we did some line- and fender handling. The weather conditions were perfect, so we took of at 10.30 hrs. Finding a place in open water we did some maneuvering to feel how the vessel responds. The first stop was after 30 minutes, to refuel at full level. Then we passed the lock “Roggebotsluis”. After this passage we arrived at the entrance of the Keteldiep / IJssel. Here we had several opportunities to level-up to the cruising speed. At the end of the day (18.00 hrs.) we arrived in “Rhederlaag” where we docked the vessel in her private berth of Marina ‘t Eiland.
